Let’s “Bo” Racing!

Megan Old, Chernoff Newman Media Planner, auditions for a spot on the pit crew at Charlotte’s NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Chernoff Newman was excited to head to Charlotte yesterday to celebrate the announcement that Bojangles’ will be the title sponsor of the Darlington Southern 500.

Last year’s winner at Darlington, Regan Smith, was on-hand for the announcement, and chatted with a group in The Great Hall of the NASCAR Hall of Fame about what Bojangles’ means to racing and what Darlington means to drivers.

“Darlington is a tough race mentally and physically. I think it’s because we’re running six inches from the wall for four hours, and it’s never cold at Darlington either,” Smith said. “The Bojangles’ sponsorship says a lot. We couldn’t be more excited from a driver’s standpoint to know that a southern company that really understands and appreciates racing is sponsoring the Bojangles’ Southern 500.”

Happy race fans noshed on some Bojangles’ chicken strips and Bo-Berry biscuits after the announcement. Then we explored the NASCAR Hall of Fame for some hands-on racing experience.
