Objective

Recruit, educate and equip grassroots leaders to be ambassadors extolling how South Carolina is Just Right for business.

Strategy

Use South Carolina’s unique business success stories to inspire individuals to become grassroots ambassadors and share their own stories of why the state is Just Right for business.

Tactics

We built connections with grassroots leaders through branded state and local business events, media relations, social media networks and traditional media like outdoor boards and print ads in business publications, as well as digital advertising and e-newsletter marketing.

Engaging Directly

Digital communications, social media, grassroots efforts and events provided a platform for us to have direct engagement with more than 13,000 business and community leaders in every county of the state.

Surprising the Influencers

Our creative grabbed attention by stating powerful facts that only SC can claim. This strategy helped to grow our newsletter subscriptions from 175 to 2,085. These important influencers will help share the story of why South Carolina is Just Right for business.

Connecting Online

Throughout the campaign, we increased Twitter followers from 75 to over 1,000. Our Facebook likes moved from 145 to almost 9,000.
