Our creative team is growing and we’re looking for a mid-level, multi-disciplined Copywriter to join our team. This role is responsible for the total creative product in direct mail, print and broadcast media, producing bold, strategic, persuasive messages in all media that furthers the agenda of our clients. The Copywriter must be fluent in the English language and have a strong grasp of linguistics, word association, and grammar. The Copywriter will work closely with the creative and accounts teams, reporting directly to the Creative Director and having numerous interactions with all members of the creative and media teams.

Ideally, this individual will work from our Columbia office, but our Charlotte or Charleston offices may be considered for the right candidate.


  • Originates and executes advertising copy consistent with the agreed client strategy
  • Creates original concepts for clear, concise, and convincing writing, including grammatical and material accuracy
  • Develops concepts and/or scripts, collaborating with Production as needed
  • Meets with Account and Traffic teams who review work in progress and select desired concepts
  • Works with supervisor to foster innovative solutions for clients
  • Revises recommendations based on any client comments and share approved recommendations with all teams
  • Participates in and contributes to the new business activities of the agency


  • Bachelor’s or Portfolio degree in a related field: Journalism, English, Communications, etc.
  • 4+ years of experience within an advertising agency setting
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Previous experience as a Copywriter, Associate Copywriter, or Social Content Writer
  • Understanding of both interactive and social media advertising
  • A diverse writing portfolio and reel required to demonstrate creative and technical skills
  • Strong detail orientation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work as a team player
