Three communications industry groups across the Carolinas recognized the agency for its outstanding work, awarding the firm with 11 awards at recent annual competitions. The awards shows – including the Queen City PR Awards, the IABC/SC Palmetto Awards and the AIGA SC InShow awards – recognize excellence in the advertising, public relations, marketing communications and design fields.
“Winning at multiple shows proves just how diverse our capabilities are,” said David Campbell, president. “We’re proud to have the strength of our integrated communications expertise recognized by our peers and our clients.”
Chernoff Newman received two awards in the Queen City PR Awards sponsored by the Charlotte chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, three awards from the IABC/SC Palmetto Awards and six awards from the South Carolina Chapter of AIGA, including a Special Judge’s Award and Best of Show.
“We take great pride in the work we do for our clients,” said Heather Price, creative director. “Our focus on combining solid strategy with creativity proves to not only win awards, but more importantly to achieve the results our clients are counting on.”
2017 Queen City Awards
Our team won a Crown award for a print brochure created as a part of our work for Charlotte-Douglas International Airport and the unveiling of its $16.2 billion economic impact on the greater Charlotte region. We leveraged an in-depth economic impact study to create a versatile, easy-to-understand brochure that builds awareness of the airport as the region’s powerhouse for economic growth.
We also won an Award of Excellence for our social media strategy and execution for Teen Health Connection. The campaign reoriented the communications strategy for this non-profit health care practice to use social media channels so that they more effectively enhanced engagement with teens and their parents, increased Teen Health’s brand awareness and expanded its supporter base.
