In order to provide the best integrated services, we’re constantly seeking talent that can help us refine our processes and expand our services. Helping us do just that are the five new team members we’ve added to our public relations, project management, account management, creative and digital teams across all three offices and remotely.

Ivey Amburgey joined as a public relations and social media specialist in the Charlotte, N.C., office. With six years of experience in social media, influencer marketing and public relations, Ivey brings a variety of expertise and communications insights to Chernoff Newman. Most recently, she was the marketing manager at NoDa Brewing Company where she established and grew their marketing presence. Prior to that, in her role as an account executive at Butin Integrated Communications, she serviced a variety of food and beverage clients and assisted in the development of their influencer relations offerings by building out the research and reporting components. Ivey earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations at Lee University and her master’s degree in communications at Queens University of Charlotte.



Emily Nicastro joined as an account manager in the Charleston, S.C., office. With a background in communications, Emily has 12 years of experience in journalism, editing, content management, public relations and account management. Most recently, Emily was an account manager at Touchpoint Communications where she helped create media buzz around clients in hospitality and tourism, economic development and nonprofit sectors. Additionally, she managed the social media and PR strategy for some of Charleston’s most popular restaurants – where she fell in love with the Lowcountry and made the move from New York to Charleston in 2014. Emily graduated from State University of New York at Albany with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and English.


Anthony Pereira joined the digital team as a full stack developer working remotely from Phoenix, Ariz. With a background in art and film, Anthony brings with him 13 years of experience as a web developer, video editor and motion graphics artist. He has a deep understanding and focus on responsive websites with an emphasis on user experience. Anthony graduated from Arizona State University with honors.





Brandis Causey joined as a traffic and production manager in the Charleston, S.C., office. With a background in advertising, production management and event planning, Brandis brings more than five years of creative experience to Chernoff Newman. Previously, Brandis worked at Gulfstream Communications where she worked on multiple publications as the advertising production manager. In her spare time, she works on freelance event production projects in the Charleston area. Brandis graduated from The Art Institute of Charleston with a degree in fashion and retail management.



Nell Warthen joined the creative team as a multi-media designer in the Columbia, S.C., office. With a background in design and illustration, Nell brings eight years of experience to Chernoff Newman. Most recently, she was the graphic artist for Whole Foods Market in Columbia, where she designed ads and marketing assets for the store, created décor with hand-drawn illustrations and was responsible for the location’s compliance to corporate brand standards. Nell graduated from the University of South Carolina with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design.
