Founding Father Marvin Chernoff has picked up another well deserved honor as Trustus Theatre announced yesterday that a new performance space and piano bar will be called…Marv’s.

Trustus Executive Director Larry Hembree made the announcement Tuesday, saying that the space, to be called Marv’s, will be used for small musicals and a late-night gathering place.

“What a great legacy,” said Chernoff, who recently was diagnosed with Stage IV throat cancer.

Design for the space is under way. It will be open before and after Trustus productions and on evenings when the theater is dark.
