Brooks Hearn, APR is a senior public relations manager for Chernoff Newman. Previously, she worked at Dorchester County Economic Development, where she served as the marketing and investor relations manager. There, she guided communications strategy to facilitate new business and economic development opportunities, connect local industries and engage investors.
A native South Carolinian, Brooks has 15 years of experience in public relations. Two of her previous campaigns have earned her Mercury Award honors from the South Carolina Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA). She was also named Emerging Leader of the Year in 2019 by the Greater Summerville/Dorchester Chamber of Commerce and Best & Brightest 35 and Under by Charleston Business Magazine.
She is the 2022 SCPRSA chapter president and an active volunteer with numerous local and statewide non-profit organizations, including the University of South Carolina Young Alumni Council, Dorchester Habitat for Humanity and the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization.
Brooks holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of South Carolina.
