Emily’s communications background spans journalism, public relations, social media and digital content management in her native New York and then as a resident of Charleston. As an Account Manager at Chernoff Newman, Emily calls on her varied experience to plan, implement and monitor marketing and advertising campaigns for clients in industries ranging from education and non-profit, to pharmacy technology and real estate development, to agriculture and tourism.

 

In her previous position at Touchpoint Communications, she managed PR and social media strategy for her clients. Emily helped organize some of the largest events in the state, such as the Town of Summerville’s Guinness World Record-Breaking Sweet Tea Party. She worked with South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism planning interviews and travel itineraries for international writers to ‘Discover South Carolina’.

 

Emily previously served on the board of the Charleston American Marketing Association (AMA) as Director of Membership and as a Reading Partners South Carolina volunteer tutor. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and journalism from the State University of New York at Albany.
