Virtual Reality: Chernoff Newman sweeps the American Advertising Awards

2020 was not all bad

It’s true. Despite the constant reminders of COVID-19, our team learned a lot last year. We realized we could work closer together, even when we were more spread apart. That included getting more creative when it came to presenting to clients. We even figured out how to lock down a television production set to be safe and secure while preserving that magical feeling of bringing an idea to life.

Celebrating the American Advertising Awards through Zoom

Last Saturday night was another learning moment for me while celebrating our team, production partners and amazing clients from the comfort of my backyard by our roaring fire pit. Here’s what it takes: a wireless connection for Zoom™ and its chat box, an active Slack™ channel for agency celebrations and fast fingers for cell phone text threads. People’s computer and phone cameras were not on for the event itself (Jason Sudeikis’ tie-dyed sweatshirt may be a good reason why), but we did manage to pull off a Zoom happy hour prior to the American Advertising Awards show’s start. Of course, we got a screen shot of all of us who were logged in.

I applaud our team at the agency for continuing the quest to come up with original, innovative, clutter-busting ideas that help drive business to our clients – especially in the middle of the pandemic! And to our clients, I thank each one of you for trusting us with your brands and for allowing us the opportunity to try new things. Last, but not least, I want to thank our production teams for helping bring these ideas to life.
