In keeping with the previous efforts, the two new spots helped create further awareness and play for the Mega Millions and Powerball games while increasing awareness for the SC Education Lottery itself.
Create a desire to play and increase the number of people who buy Mega Millions and Powerball tickets, especially among a younger, 18+ audience.
Continue the ‘Exciting Enough’ campaign with commercials that are just as fanciful and wildly outrageous, giving us the opportunity to communicate through multiple channels with a message about how exciting playing the lottery can be.
Introduce Mitch and his flying car, as well as a monster truck with a hot tub in the back – complete with its own lifeguard. During the campaign, the biggest prize in the lottery’s history ($1.5 billion) was won by a single person, who took a cash payment of more than $875 million.
Mitch’s swivel chair is actually a custom-made ‘green-screen’ chair operated by two people. One person to swivel and lift, the other to move it forward.
The lifeguard is in a hot tub prob that is up on scaffolding, completely separate from the truck. Extra steam was added in post production.
