As the state rolled out new paper-based electronic voting machines prior to the 2020 election, this campaign was built to reassure and reinforce the voting public that the new equipment was accurate, fast, easy to use and most importantly, secure. Insights pointed to the fact that people avoided the polls out of apathy – a day of bad weather or being busy would keep them from the polls. Once the pandemic hit, there was an even bigger issue that kept them away – their personal safety. With in-person activations being put on pause, we amped the campaign with video content that provided a strong call to action to stop the excuses – and start making your voice heard.
