David Campbell Recognized by SCBIZ

He’s at it again. This time, David is being recognized as one the most influential professionals shaping the Palmetto State’s future. Not our words, theirs. But even with the formal title as Chernoff Newman’s Chief Executive Officer, David is one of the few, exceptional people who truly cares – not just about building business, but also about the wellbeing of communities and the people who live and work there.

Whether as an advocate, musician, arts and culture supporter (and actor), David never seeks the spotlight. His dedication, leadership and generosity put him there. Over the years, David has served as commission chair for the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs, chaired the board of Historic Columbia, served on advisory boards for the College of Charleston and the University of South Carolina, and contributed his financial expertise as a foundation board member and former treasurer of the Richland County Public Library. Today, he continues his commitment through board service with the Ronald McDonald Housing Corp., United Way of the Midlands and Claflin University.

David has proudly been part of many other organizations, boards and groups as well. But, at Chernoff Newman, we’re fortunate to work with someone who has also had such a steadfast commitment to just one, at 33 years and counting.

The annual SCBIZ South Carolina 500 represents months of research and careful selection by the editorial staff. These recognitions honor not just the biggest names, but the most impactful professionals making a real difference in their fields and communities, including agriculture, healthcare, hospitality & tourism, and, of course, advertising & marketing. These leaders represent the very best of South Carolina’s entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence.

Congratulations, David.
