Chernoff Newman has an extensive history with the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the unifying voice for advertising. For more than 20 years, Chernoff Newman has had representatives on local Boards across AAF’s District 3, which includes South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Today, we have four employees serving on the Boards of AAF Midlands and AAF Charlotte for the 2021-2022 season, which began in August.
As we kick off a new AAF season across the Carolinas, we wanted to reflect on our involvement with this national organization and share more about how our employees are representing their local chapters.

Previous AAF Silver Medal Award Winners at Chernoff Newman
The AAF’s Silver Medal Award Program was established in 1959 to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern. The award is not given annually, but rather when a club feels that an outstanding member is deserving.
Silver Medal Award winners Danielle and David join three other honorees from Chernoff Newman: Van Newman (Midlands – 1977), Marvin Chernoff (Midlands – 1992) and Peter Wertimer (Charleston – 1994).
