Held by the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (SCPRSA), the 2024 SCPRSA Mercury Awards celebrated outstanding work created in 2023 by the state’s public relations practitioners, communicators and students.

Guided by delivering Work That Matters, we strive to make positive impacts for our clients and communities across South Carolina and beyond. And we recently received a handful of nods that prove just that at the 2024 Mercury Awards, with a range of accolades for three very different clients.

  • 2023 Mercury Award of Excellence in Public Service for the South Carolina Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS)
  • 2023 Mercury Award of Excellence in Community Relations for Walmart and “Serve & Connect Partnership Events”
  • 2023 Silver Wing Award of Excellence for the South Carolina Department of Agriculture’s Southeast Wildlife Expo event as Local Choice Best Sponsorship Activation

We were also proud to have received two awards for our South Carolina American Revolution Sestercentennial Commission client. Or as we like to call it, SC250.

  • 2023 Mercury Award of Merit for Integrated Communications for “Charleston Has the Tea”
  • 2023 Silver Wing Award of Merit for Influencer Marketing/Promotion for “Charleston Tea Party Preview”

In addition to client work, the Mercury Awards also includes individual awards for leaders in the public relations field. This year, our own Associate Public Relations Director, Brooks Hearn, APR, received the SCPRSA Volunteer Service Award in recognition of her service throughout the industry and the state.

It’s an honor to be recognized for this work and the teams of people whose efforts create meaningful, award-winning campaigns and activations. Stay tuned in as we reach for more.
