Chief Executive Officer

In the dynamic landscape of business, project management and financial acumen are the bedrock to running a successful and thriving company. Project management serves as the sturdy backbone, providing the structure to execute efficiently, while finance acts as the heartbeat, managing financial resources that impact company viability and livelihood.

These pivotal functions intersect to contribute to strategic growth and long-term sustainability in the most critical way, and Chernoff Newman is excited to welcome top-tier talent to our project management and finance teams. Please join me in welcoming David Leverentz, Director of Project Management, Reid Howard, Traffic and Print Project Manager, and Daron Johnson, Financial Coordinator.

Daron Johnson, Financial Coordinator

Daron joins our Columbia office as a financial coordinator responsible for client invoicing, budgeting, ledger analysis and reconciliation and accounts payable. Previously, he worked at First Citizens Bank as an Investor Accounting Specialist and now brings his accounting and analytical skills to streamline our financial processes. Daron holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from Claflin University. Outside of work, he’s an avid angler and a loving father to his 3-year-old son Dallas.

David Leverentz, Director of Project Management

Moving down from the Windy City to the Queen City, David comes to our Charlotte office to oversee our client teams as Director of Project Management. Passionate about motivating teams and workplaces, he has nearly a decade of experience optimizing workflows and driving team efficiency at advertising agencies including Havas, FCB Chicago and AbelsonTaylor Group. He graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication, then went on to receive a Master of Science degree in management at Durham University in England. A team player through and through, David played soccer professionally in Australia for the Brisbane Wolves before starting a career leading teams in the workplace rather than on the field.

Reid Howard, Traffic & Print Project Manager

Reid rounds out our project management team as our new Traffic and Print Project Manager. He is responsible for coordinating final mockups and printer proofs, developing project estimates and schedules, and ensuring milestones are met and workloads are appropriately assigned. With 12+ years of marketing experience at agencies like American Advisors Group and BBDO, Reid comes fully prepared to collaborate closely with our creative team to develop and deliver exceptional work to clients. When he’s not helping our internal teams stay on track, he enjoys hiking, art, taking award-winning llama photos and playing spikeball with the Spikeball Spartanburg group he founded.
