Erin is a PR and communications pro with 20+ years in strategic counsel, reputation and issues management, crisis communications and media relations. She joins Chernoff Newman after a 15-year career at Duke Energy. There, she served as managing director of enterprise communications and digital media, leading teams that support the company’s top executives, including the CEO, CFO, investor relations, HR, technology, security, sustainability and legal, as well as internal communications, social media and brand journalism.
Prior to Duke Energy, she held communication roles at Charlotte Water and Catawba Lands Conservancy. The conservancy is a land trust in Charlotte that facilitates permanent land conservation. She was also a reporter for newspapers in Virginia and Ohio focusing on environmental, health and education issues.
Erin earned the Public Relations Society of America’s Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2008. She serves on the board of Digi-Bridge, a Charlotte non-profit dedicated to STEAM education. She’s also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class 44 and is proud to serve on its board of directors.
