Meet our Spring 2023 interns

Chernoff Newman is pleased to host seven interns across its Charleston, Charlotte and Columbia offices this semester

March 22, 2023
Client Engagement Supervisor

Chernoff Newman has long been committed to developing college students in the Carolinas through hands-on, paid internships. When asked if I would like to take the lead in managing our intern program, I immediately jumped at the chance. I know the impact of a successful internship on your career, and I wanted to help provide a meaningful internship experience for others.

This semester, we’ve welcomed seven interns from the University of South Carolina, College of Charleston, Claflin University, and University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Spring 2023 Chernoff Newman intern class

Lizzie Hall | Executive Administration Intern, Columbia Office

Lizzie Hall, a senior at the University of South Carolina, is majoring in mass communications. Her strategic planning and brand development skills have allowed her to take on large-scale projects throughout her collegiate career.

“I have learned so much already by working with various teams and sitting in on meetings and pitches.”

Claire Hanley | Public Relations Intern, Columbia Office

Claire Hanley is a second-term intern with us and is graduating from the University of South Carolina with her bachelor’s in marketing in May. She has experience in operations, event planning, promotions and social media management.

“My intern experience so far has been fantastic! A few of my favorite projects have been completing monthly social media reports, creating social media content calendars and writing press releases for a range of clients.”

Anna Mlodzinski | Public Affairs Intern, Columbia Office

Anna Mlodzinski is a senior majoring in public relations at the University of South Carolina. She has experience managing college and state-level political campaigns, a benefit to her internship in public affairs.

“Seeing how an agency operates in real-time has given me a deeper appreciation for the role of communications in a company’s longevity and success.”

Alexa Schoubert | Executive Administration Intern, Charlotte Office

Alexa Schoubert is a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, majoring in communications studies with a concentration in public relations. One of her accomplishments includes launching a university-wide campaign for health and wellbeing.

“There have been great projects to work on, but one of my favorites has been being able to help plan and develop the internal events that Chernoff Newman is hosting this spring.”

Jadon Stanek | Client Engagement Intern, Columbia Office

Jadon Stanek is a marketing major at the University of South Carolina, graduating in May. Throughout his college career, he has been able to develop his photography, videography and strategic marketing skills and has worked on a variety of branding projects.

“One of my favorite experiences so far was getting to attend an oral presentation for a major client pitch — it’s not something I’m used to with other internships.”

Kaitlynn Weeks | Public Relations Intern, Charleston Office

Kaitlynn Weeks is a senior at the College of Charleston studying communications and marketing. While studying public relations, Kaitlynn has accumulated ample experience in social media management, influencer marketing and event planning.

“Throughout my time here, I have felt welcomed and treated as a valued team member! The culture and the work that the company does is incredible.”

Karin Young | Agency Immersion Intern, Columbia Office

Karin Young is a junior at Claflin University majoring in business administration. Her customer service and sales skills are compounded by her self-starter attitude, which has afforded her many leadership opportunities through athletics and other organizations.

“This internship has given me a chance to figure out the areas of marketing in which I perform best, which aren’t my forte, and overall, immerse myself in the many options and opportunities this industry offers.”

If you are interested in a summer internship, positions will be posted later this month at chernoffnewman.com/careers. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
