Erin Culbert
Vice President of Public Relations and General Manager
Vision, insight and some serious PR and communications chops.
Crisis communications, issues and reputation management, high-stakes media relations, stakeholder engagement and public affairs.
They’re all part of Erin’s enviable 20+ years of experience, including time with Duke Energy, where she served most recently as managing director of enterprise communications and digital media. Her career has focused on strategic communications in energy, power generation, utilities and infrastructure, sustainability and environmental policy in highly regulated industries.
Prior to Duke Energy, she held communications roles at Charlotte Water and Catawba Lands Conservancy and was a reporter for newspapers in Virginia and Ohio, focusing on environmental, health and education issues.
Erin earned the Public Relations Society of America’s Accreditation (APR) in 2008. She serves on the board of Digi-Bridge, a Charlotte non-profit dedicated to STEAM education. She’s also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte Class 44 and serves on its board of directors.
Outside of Erin’s professional world, she enjoys camping, reading, cheering on her two kids at their sports events and wrangling two adorable, but mischievous, Boykin spaniels.
