Ryan Brown

Ryan Brown is Vice President of Public Affairs at Chernoff Newman, where he develops and leads strategic communications, public affairs and stakeholder engagement initiatives for public- and private-sector clients. He specializes in helping organizations build trust, navigate complex issues and advance strategic objectives through integrated communications, government relations and community engagement.

Prior to joining Chernoff Newman, Ryan served for more than seven years as Chief Communications Officer and Senior Advisor at the South Carolina Department of Education. In that role, he directed all agency communications, advised executive leadership on policy and public affairs and worked closely with state and local officials, community stakeholders and media to develop and implement statewide communications strategies supporting major policy initiatives.
