Nell Warthen

Senior Art Director

Recognizing when you’ve found just the right idea. It’s like spotting shark teeth. Of which she has hundreds.

For Nell, art direction is all about finding balance between images and ideas. Her keen design eye (and 15+ years of experience) gives her an edge when it comes to creating and overseeing work that instantly translates and communicates an idea or concept into clear messaging. She’s created award-winning work for clients like the South Carolina Department of Agriculture, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Piggly Wiggly, and SouthLand Wildlife, spanning print, video, social media, installations, logos, and branding. Known for her mixed media and illustration skills, Nell delivers creative that is both visually striking and conceptually clear.

When she’s not at the beach searching for shark teeth, Nell can be found on the tennis courts, on the riverbanks, or fawning over her five nieces and nephews. She is a longtime member of the Junior League of Columbia (JLC), serves on the Historic Columbia Palladium Board, and is a United Way Blueprint Leadership graduate.
