Some people are figures at agencies, and some are part of its DNA. With a decades-long track record of operational expertise and an uncanny ability to bring people together with a well-timed joke, David’s firmly the latter. With his elevation from Chief Operating Officer, David’s leadership and strategic guidance as our new CEO kicks off an exciting new chapter in the agency’s more than 50-year history.
Equal parts numbers guy and people person, David’s known throughout the CN halls as a bridger of disciplines and champion of great work, as excited to lead as he is to support. That thread carries into the community at large, where his dedicated volunteerism and community leadership makes him a regular presence on boards and at organizations. Currently the national chair of the American Advertising Awards Committee for the American Advertising Federation, David is also a strong advocate for education, history and the arts. And somehow still finds the time for music, history and the occasional judging of barbecue competitions.
“My time at Chernoff Newman has been an incredible journey, and I am honored to take on the role of CEO,” said David. “I look forward to continuing to build on the agency’s legacy of strategic insight, creativity and longstanding client partnerships.”
As Chernoff Newman continues pushing into even-bolder territory, David’s leadership and love of Work That Matters will be critical. “Each and every Chernoff Newman office has its own amazing character – but shares the same spirit,” says Campbell. “I love what that means for our clients and am proud to be a part of it.”
