A dedicated communications professional and occasional skydiver, Ryan boasts nearly a decade of experience working with South Carolina’s local and state government offices, as well as elected officials. Before joining Chernoff Newman, he spent over seven years as chief communications officer at the South Carolina Department of Education under State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman.

In his current role, Ryan oversees communications with and for local and state departments and analyzes data to shape messaging and public opinion. He continues to be involved in politics and education, serving in various capacities for organizations that advocate for and advance existing initiatives and needed reforms.
